January 2011                        Trimble VRS Now 

                                                  As part of Geomatic Surveys Ltd continued investment in new technological advances,
                                                  our fleet of GPS receivers have been upgraded to utilise Trimble's VRS System.
                                                  The following extract is taken from Trimble's technical notes;

Trimble's VRS™ (Virtual Reference Station) system uses the RTK solutions from the Trimble® RTKNet software and provides high-accuracy, real-time kinematic (RTK) GPS positioning for wider areas. The fixed VRS network is available at any time without setting up a base station and provides common control wherever you are in the network.

The VRS system is made up of the latest in GPS hardware, modeling and networking software, plus communications interfacing. Once set up, RTK roving receivers in the field have access to real-time network modeled corrections. In the field, you also have the reassurance of the built-in integrity monitoring system that warns if there are any problems with the data.

                                                  Geomatic Surveys Ltd are pleased to announce that we can now produce
                                                  3D Floor Plans and 3D Walkthroughs of properties. This is particularly
                                                  useful for Clients who are not used to working with Technical Drawings.

                                                  The Floor Plans can be generated using either existing plans or proposed plans

                                                 This service can be backed up by our fully detailed CAD Drawings

February 2009                  GSL takes delivery of The Trimble R8 GNSS
                                       
                                       We are pleased to announce the acquisition of The Trimble R8 GNSS
                                                 (GPS System) to complement our fleet of survey instrumentation.
                                                 This equipment will be used to provide sub-centimetre positional
                                                 accuracy for all types of surveys and will greatly increase productivity.
